Sweetart Wedding Cakes

Am really pleased to say my new, purpose built garden studio is finished .. yeahhhhhhh! When I moved house recently I soon realised my kitchen wasn’t big enough for everything I wanted to use it for so have had the new studio built and am really pleased with how it looks.
Again this year the individual cake idea seems very popular, many of my brides asking for the belgian chocolate cups rather than a traditional cake. I love making these as they look so pretty when finished so its very rewarding. Thats the great thing about my job I think, there’s so much variety. I always try not to repeat a design exactly. Must end now, have many cake toppers to make so back to work! Hope you’re all enjoying this mini heatwave.

Sadly like many people, myself and my family have lost very dear relations and friends to cancer. Both my parents and inlaws died from this cruel illness. My sister Stella is taking part in the run for life in Telford, Shropshire to help raise funds for cancer research.
If you are able to donate even a very small amount it will contribute to finding treatment and hopefully perhaps a cure for this terrible illness that affects so many of us. This is genuine, you can verify it on the net.

Somerford Hall near Brewood, Staffordshire is holding its popular open weekend again this year on 24th and 25th January 09.
As usually I am very pleased to say, I have been invited to attend to help any interested visitors with their wedding cakes. I take my cake albums with me and shall have one of my chocolate cup towers on display. I spend a lot of time in solitary confinement!!! , designing and making items so it’s really nice to meet you lot, get some feedback  have a chat.
It’s  an event enjoyed by all due I believe, to the fact that unlike the usual more formal wedding fayer this is a relaxed, informal weekend. You can wander around this lovely building and talk to staff and a few select suppliers at your leisure.
There is no ‘hard sell’ or pressure to book or order anything but help and advice at hand should you need it.
