About Heather Sweet
Heather has won many awards in major sugarcraft competitions for her unique cakes and sugar sculptures.
She is an accomplished cake decorator who discovered the joys of working with sugar and cakes during 1992. Her superb modeling skills often feature in the production of her bespoke, delicious cakes. Her stunning modern wedding cakes are individually designed for each bridal couple.
"I love to use my imagination and aim to offer a friendly, professional service. The clients likes, dislikes and ideas are of paramount importance to me, I like to help them design their idea of the perfect wedding cake giving advice when needed."
Some of her commissions have come from corporate fields, with a copy of the MoonRaker shuttle for a James Bond theme hospitality event for British Telecom, where they entertained their premier worldwide corporate contacts. The unique corporate cake provided an eye catching display piece.
As well as working on commission and preparing for exhibitions, Heather, who is a qualified sugar craft tutor; gives demonstrations and classes in sugar and cake modeling.
Her work has been featured in many national magazines including 'Wedding cakes, a design source', as well as on radio and television (Ready Steady Cook with Ainsley Harriott).
